On Feb 22, 2018 – The New Brunswick immigration office has announced the closure of the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) Skilled Worker with Family Support stream, effective February 16, 2018.
It’s worth noticing that, recently, New Brunswick Government added some changes into their immigration programs. The Provencal announcement made a notice saying that the NBPNP EXPRESS ENTRY program is temporarily closed and NBPNP ENTREPRENEURIAL STREAM program is temporarily on pause.
Most provinces and territories in Canada can nominate immigrants through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). Each province and territory has its own “streams” (immigration programs that target certain groups) and criteria for their PNP.
At this point, Saskatchewan is the only province that has no standard requirements on the language proficiency of applicants for PNP entrepreneur stream. Saskatchewan’s economy was primarily associated with agriculture. Mining is a major industry in the province, with Saskatchewan being the world’s largest exporter of potash and uranium as well, so does oil and natural gas production.
With the friendliest immigration programs, the abundant resources and the supports from the government, Saskatchewan has become one of the most popular destinations for new immigrants.
